Gema’s journey started as a medical biller, but it wasn’t long after starting her career she discovered her passion for business and helping others succeed. She obtained a master's degree in business management and currently pursuing Her PhD in Healthcare informatics. While working in healthcare for over 16+ years, she also built businesses on the side and gained valuable experience in various healthcare settings. It was during this time, Gema noticed the complexities and challenges with billing that providers faced, and she saw an opportunity to provide efficient and reliable medical billing services.

In 2024, Gema took a leap of faith and founded Empire Medical Billing and consultation LLC. In her eyes, doctors had enough stress pouring into their patients, they shouldn’t be worried about getting paid.
